Émilie

Paris, France

Flâner is a poetic invitation to slow living, hand-shaped in France by artisan and founder Émilie. Every candle and ceramic is crafted as a gentle rebellion against the rush of daily life—objects designed to reconnect us with nature, contemplation, and the quiet joy of making things by hand. Émilie’s approach is rooted in patience and respect: she works exclusively with natural, bio-sourced, or biodegradable materials sourced primarily from France and Europe, shaping each piece in her atelier with an artist’s eye for form and a deep reverence for the environment. The heart of Flâner is its sculptural beeswax candles—molded without paraffin, synthetic dyes, or artificial fragrance. Their colors are drawn from the earth and plants, and their forms are inspired by art, architecture, and the subtle geometry of the natural world. Ceramics, too, are made in small batches, using only the natural hues of clay and mineral pigments. Every object is produced to order, ensuring minimal waste and a lasting connection between maker and user. For Émilie, craftsmanship is both a meditative practice and an ecological commitment. Every Flâner piece is ephemeral if consumed, or enduring as a decorative object—but always leaves no harmful trace. In a fast-paced world, Flâner offers a pause: a chance to savor the beauty of the handmade, the comfort of natural materials, and the rare luxury of taking your time.
