Eliza Helmerich

Berlin, Germany

Eliza Helmerich designs unisex alpaca knitwear and German stoneware, the latter double-fired to 1,300 °C. They work with small family workshops in Peru and Saxony to make pieces that earn their place in daily life: 100% alpaca and baby alpaca layers that are thermoregulating and meant to be refreshed without washing—steam between wears, air by an open window, or slip them into the freezer—and hand-thrown stoneware that’s dishwasher-safe and fully waterproof. A winter-grey morning: hands around a weighty stoneware mug while a dense alpaca pullover takes the edge off the chill. Made for permanence rather than seasons, sweaters come in around 600 g for a heavier, long-wearing drape, and they encourage upkeep with simple repair tools for snags and straightforward care guidance. Designed and sold directly, the purpose is clear: offer medium-priced, ethically produced quality that respects craft and the people behind it, so you keep, care for, and pass things on.
