Sochili is the Dortmund food startup helping with heat: one product funds one day of electricity for farming families in rural Senegal. Founded by Moritz Everding, the brand ties every bottle to a simple idea: great taste should leave people better off. Chilis are grown by small-scale farmers in West Africa and traded on long-term, fair terms. In the kitchen, the sauces keep it honest: organic, vegan recipes built on clear ingredients (think olive oil, fresh jalapeños, braised onions, garlic, a lift of apple cider vinegar and lemon). Production partners refine the blends; in Germany, everything is bottled and shipped with a traceable chain you can follow. The result is hot sauce with receipts—flavor you’ll use daily, and a model that helps switch on first-time power where it matters.
