Collective-Stories is a homeware label built on the belief that every object should tell a story—of tradition, skill, and the quiet beauty of the handmade. Founded after an immersive journey through Guatemala, where the founders learned backstrap weaving from Maya artisans, the brand is rooted in a deep respect for craft cultures around the world. What began as a day of weaving and laughter in a small workshop has grown into a global collaboration: Collective-Stories now partners with master artisans from Guatemala to India, each dedicated to preserving and evolving their local techniques. The heart of Collective-Stories is connection. Every basket, rug, ceramic, and textile is made by hand in small batches, using natural materials like cotton, wool, and buri. Whenever possible, natural dyes are used, and every cooperative they work with is committed to Fair Trade principles—ensuring not just economic independence for artisans, but the preservation of local culture and craft. The result is a collection that feels both timeless and distinctly personal: objects with depth, texture, and a patina that will only grow richer with age. Sustainability isn’t an afterthought—it’s embedded in every process, from responsible sourcing to minimal, biodegradable packaging. The brand’s mission is simple but profound: to unite thoughtful design with ethical craftsmanship, creating essentials that last, support communities, and bring a sense of meaning to the everyday. For those who value authenticity, detail, and the stories carried in every stitch and weave, Collective-Stories is more than just homeware—it’s a celebration of the hands and histories behind each piece.
