Rosa

Wales

Rosa Harradine’s world is woven from the wild landscapes of West Wales and the quiet rhythms of handcraft. A self-taught brush and broom maker, Rosa shapes each piece using natural, sustainable materials—wood from her small patch of woodland, broomcorn, and the knowledge that beauty and utility can go hand in hand. Her journey to this rare craft began with curiosity: carving spoons, turning bowls, weaving baskets, and finally, finding her calling in the meditative process of broom and brush making. Every brush is made entirely by hand, with the only mechanized tool being an electric chainsaw for harvesting wood. Rosa’s pieces are meant to be both beautiful and genuinely useful—objects that ground you in daily rituals and connect you to the landscape from which they come. Selected as a TOAST New Maker in 2022 and a member of Heritage Crafts, Rosa’s work is gaining recognition for its quiet artistry and commitment to sustainability. When she’s not in her workshop, you’ll find Rosa growing vegetables on a windswept hillside, walking in the woods, or restoring her nearly 200-year-old house. Each broom, each brush, is an invitation to slow down, notice the details, and bring a little more intention—and a lot more beauty—into the everyday.
