Amina Appau
Soča Valley, Slovenia
Keramina Ceramics is the creative world of Amina Appau, a Belgian-born ceramic artist now based in Slovenia’s enchanting Soča Valley. Amina’s journey to clay began with a beginner’s workshop in Ecuador, but it was the vivid colors and landscapes of the Soča River that truly sparked her passion for ceramics. Every Keramina piece is designed, carved, and glazed by Amina herself. Her work is defined by a playful, experimental style—think bold textures, vibrant glazes, and her signature carved patterns that add a sense of movement and character to each mug, bowl, or vase. Drawing inspiration from her Belgian and African roots, as well as her new Slovenian home, Amina’s ceramics reflect a fusion of cultures and a love for joyful everyday objects. Keramina Ceramics is all about celebrating the freedom to create: each piece is unique, shaped by Amina’s hands and her curiosity to try new techniques. The studio stands for small-batch, sustainable craft, with all ceramics made to be both beautiful and functional—microwave and dishwasher safe unless otherwise noted. Amina invites you to discover ceramics that bring color, texture, and a touch of happiness to your daily rituals—each one a little adventure, handmade with love in the Soča Valley.
