Seijo Objects is a German design studio founded in 2021 by David Meier and Johanna, born from a shared belief that intuition and independence are the best guides for making things that matter. Based in Germany, Seijo is an “Ideenschmiede”—a creative forge—dedicated to developing aesthetic, functional objects that quietly defy trends and conventions. The studio’s name, “seijo” (正常), is borrowed from Japanese and means “normal.” But for David and Johanna, the everyday is a canvas for subtle transformation: Seijo’s objects are designed to be more than just functional—they’re meant to bring new value and presence to daily life. Each piece is crafted from high-quality materials, marrying traditional craftsmanship with modern processing techniques to create objects that are both durable and distinctive. Seijo’s collections—ranging from minimalist home accessories to versatile objects for every room—are intentionally small-batch and timeless, shaped by a refusal to chase fleeting fashions. Every design is a response to what the founders themselves find truly necessary and valuable, guided by a Bauhaus-like ethos that “standard forms, if not constantly re-examined, become obsolete.” For those who want to bring quiet innovation and thoughtful utility into their spaces, Seijo Objects offers more than just products—it offers a philosophy of living: attentive, intentional, and always a little more than simply “normal.”
