Margaux
Paris, France
Atelier mahd is a joyful collision of Alpine craftsmanship and Montmartre creativity. Founded by Savoyard designer Margaux, the studio grew out of a life lived between ski slopes, graphic design, interior projects, and a deep love for objects with character. In her first atelier-boutique at the foot of Montmartre, she curates a world where signature furniture made in the Alps by Benjamin—an ébéniste from a three-generation woodworking family—meets 3D-printed pieces born right in the studio, plus a sharp selection of vintage finds and collaborations with like-minded designers. Everything at mahd is rooted in “slow design”: short circuits, carefully sourced materials, and a commitment to fair, local production. The result is furniture and objects that feel playful yet precise—singular forms, bold silhouettes, and pieces that carry stories as much as they furnish space. Customers describe the place as a “little gem” and a “magical universe,” a warm, welcoming corner of Paris where you come for a lamp or a side table and leave with the sense that your home—and your everyday rituals—just got a little more special.
